Posted by Ian Proctor on May 1, 12 12:20 PM in Useful Info

HARROW: Gardeners and allotment holders can claim free compost from Harrow Council as the authority is marking International Compost Awareness Week that takes place between Sunday May 6 and Saturday May 12.

Twenty tonnes of the organic material will be handed out on a first come, first served basis to people who turn up with a strong bag, wheelbarrow or bucket.

The giveaway will occur between 3pm and 7pm on Wednesday May 9 in the Eastcote Road car park of Roxeth Recreation Ground in South Harrow and between 9.30am and 1pm in the Carlton Avenue car park of Kenton Recreation Ground in Kenton, and a composting expert from the London Community Resource Network will be on hand to offer advice and answer questions.

We'd like to hear from you.
