Whitmore High School in Porlock Avenue wants its sports teams and community clubs to be able to use its tennis courts and its multi-use games area in the winter evenings for football, tennis and hockey.
The school applied to Harrow Council on Wednesday, February 22, to install eight 10m high floodlights to illuminate the tennis courts and six 14m-high floodlights for its multi-use games area, and said the lights will be switched off by 9.30pm Monday to Saturday and 8pm Sunday and Bank Holidays.
