Popular Post Office in Eastcote Lane, South Harrow, seeks extension

Posted by Ian Proctor on Jan 2, 09 12:03 PM in Local Authority

The Field End Road Post Office and general store in Eastcote Lane, South Harrow, could increase in size to help reduce crowdedness when it gets "exceptionally busy".

The branch's owners have submitted, via an agent, a planning application to Harrow Council for a single-storey extension of 45sq m.

In the accompanying documents, the applicants say: "The Post Office and the integrated shop are generally busy with exceptional periods of customers at certain periods of the day/month.

"The extension will provide additional space for the shop and the Post Office to allow greater public circulation."

We'd like to hear from you.
