Advice and support on dealing with bullying will be offered to young people in Harrow town centre this Saturday.

Harrow Council's Local Safeguarding Children Board and Soul Survivor will be raising awareness as part of the annual anti-bullying awareness day in St Ann's and St George's Shopping Centre, in St Ann's Road.

Local bands will also be performing at the Log Cabin, in Brigade Hall, South Harrow, at 7.30pm.

Two empty floors of a mixed-use block in Northolt Road, South Harrow, could become flats like the remainder of the building.
Housebuilder Bellway Homes has applied to Harrow Council to convert the ground and first floors of Raebarn House into one one-bed, six two-bed and two three-bed apartments.
There is already permission to house 150 flats on the other floors, and Bellway Homes says it has marketed the vacant office space to no avail.

A residents-only parking scheme could be introduced to Harrow's 'county roads' area if councillors throw their weight behind the idea tomorrow (Wednesday) evening.
If brought in, vehicles will only be able to park on designated streets between 11am and 12noon if a paid-for permit is displayed, in a bid to prevent non-resident motorists - especially commuters using North Harrow Tube station - from dumping their cars there all day.
Harrow Council's traffic and road safety advisory panel is being asked to recommend to Councillor Susan Hall (Conservative), portfolio holder for environmental and community safety, that the scheme be taken forward, even though a 96-name petition has been submitted to the authority calling on it to disregard the proposal.
The affected roads, in the ward of Headstone South, include Devonshire Road, Dorset Road, Oxford Road, and parts of Pinner Road, Sussex Road, Rutland Road, Bedford Road, Pinner View and Neptune Road.
The traffic and road safety advisory panel is due to meet at Harrow Civic Centre, Station Road Harrow, at 7.30pm.

A woman was robbed in an alleyway opposite Rayners Lane Tube Station on Sunday (Nov 16). The 46-year-old was pushed to the floor by a black man, around 17-years-old, wearing dark clothing and a dark hat at 7pm. A second black man, also in his late teens, then pulled the bag from her shoulder before fleeing towards Strongbridge Close.

A conceptual artist and his team have left art on borough streets in a generous one-off art happening.

Adam Neate claimed the streets of London as his gallery as dusk fell on Friday night, leaving 1,000 artworks scattered across the city, visiting all 32 London boroughs.

South Harrow market relaunched

A market is hoping to boost trading in a Harrow high street when it reopens this week.
South Harrow Market, in Northolt Road, was officially reopened yesterday (November 12) after filling all its shops.
Manager Max Quagliozzi took over the market in October when he obtained the licence from Transport for London (TFL) in October.
He said: "All our shops have traders in them now.
"The market will give the community somewhere to go as it has been here for 25 years."
Before the takeover the market had 10 traders on site, but a total of 36 new traders will operate in 50 shops. The market will also have a carousel and a childminder to entertain children whilst their parents shop.
Mr Quagliozzi is hoping the new additions will revive the market which has been blighted by problems in the past.
The 37-year-old said: "I had a meeting with traders in the high street and it was important as it has made the area safer.
"When there were only two or three traders in the market they closed in time because of robberies and gangs, now it is fully booked we will all keep an eye out for each other and be more aware."
South Harrow Market opens from 7am-6pm from Monday to Saturday.

At Rayners Lane the home side triumphed in FTL Futbol Hellenic League Division One East on Saturday with a 3-1 win over Bisely.

The win makes it four without defeat for the team who move into the top half of the table thanks to second half goals from Darren Gardner, Kieran Thomas and Ryan Upton with James Mepham scoring for visitors Bisley.
