Posted by Tom Parnell on Aug 19, 08 10:40 AM in

A man was left hospitalised after falling under a train at a busy Underground station.

A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: "BTP can confirm that a 60-year-old man from Ruislip was taken to Northwick Park Hospital on Saturday (16) evening after he fell under a Piccadilly Line train at Rayners Lane LU station.

"The man sustained superficial cuts to the back of his head as a result of the incident, which occurred around 7.15pm and is not being treated as suspicious.

"The London Ambulance Service attended and the railway was handed back to London Underground at 8pm."
